my hubby has secondery bone cancer in his back all meds opoids make him spaced outis anyone on a pain killer that works without sending them loopy
Opioids can make you feel like that if the dose is too high, I had extra pain once and she upped my zomorph (morphine caps) by 10mg and I was having nightmares it was awful, I have secondary bone cancer in my spine and I had terrible flare up pain off radiotherapy and I had my meds changed by a Macmillan nurse who came to see me and she changed my life I take the maximum dose of a drug called gabapentin and 40mg of morphine caps and some paracetamol and that does me, some drugs will make you feel light headed and bit woozy until they get into your system and then you will start to feel less drowsy and more in control, so call a nurse out and get them to help get his meds right.
wishing you luck Jo xx
