Hello
I found out my cancer has now spread from bones to liver. A bit of a shock as you can imagine. I was stable for a year on Palbociclib but my insurance company would not pay for it after 12 months and the NHS refused a funding request for it. So three months after stopping it, my cancer has spread. I am rather numb at the moment. My Consultant has started me on Tamoxifen as my tumour became resistant to Exemestane and then the next step will be oral chemo. I feel so hopeless and lost at the moment.
Ellie
Hi ellieellie,
I noticed no one had replied which is unusual and cannot have felt very nice. It is horrible to hear bad news, but there are plenty of people on this forum who are living with bone, liver and other metastases and living well, so don't despair. It is not suprising you felt hopeless and lost, we all go to some very dark places at times. Awful that you cannot help but feel that removal of funding for palbociclib may have played a part , and of course you cannot know for certain. I really hope in the days since you posted that you have found some hope and feel less lost.
