I need some support for myself and children there dad 33 has cancer in the bones from after having prostate cancer. Today I see him and he couldn't get of the sofa and looks so fragile. I need to prepare for the worse and I am emotionally and mentally upset to even know where to start. Is there anyone out there that could give me some advise?

Thanks

  • Hey there Bewsey,

Sorry to hear about your partner, or ex partner.

However, you'd be better off posting in this group - community.macmillan.org.uk/.../ - as they are supporting people with cancer, so will be able to help you more than we can, as we are dealing with cancer ourselves.

Fingers crossed they'll be able to help with what you need.

    Xx

    Hello

I'm sorry your husband has had his cancer spread and it is a shock for your family.  Secondary bone cancer is treatable but incurable. There are many drugs out there that he will hopefully be offered that can keep him in a stable condition for hopefully a long time.  Once they get him started on a drug he should improve and feel more normal. I think you just have to take this slowly and speak with your Oncologist.  We all on here have been through this, so hes not alone.   Keep hoping

    Regards
