Not expecting such a good sleep after yesterday’s event in hospital. But probably the liquid morphine helped. Could sleep again but brain has kicked in and I find it hard to stop my thoughts from running off in every direction.
Head still sore though and other areas. Aloe gel calmed the burns quickly then manuka honey moisturiser soothed. Been sipping aloe drink to see if it will help insides. On a four hour fast soon in prep for CT scan.
See GP this am too. (This is not the GP who said I did not have cancer 16 months ago). Hoping to gather missing information from different sources and ask for copies and future copies of correspondences. I am being asked about blood results and findings because data not being sent or too slow.
Much love to you all, XX
So glad you slept well, you will feel better and yes the morphine will have helped but I think you have been so stressed I think after yesterday you will have been exhausted, still keep an eye on any pain that creeps in don’t let it get hold of you.
You shouldn’t be waiting for blood results to come through, is this with the hospital before your oncology app? Who is your oncologist mine is Dr Graham she’s lovely!! We just talk about shoes and the new fashions we like on Instagram Hahaha, but I’m a long way down the road from you, ask for a blood test to show your tumour markers, your oncologist can add this on to your regular ones and it gives a good indication that the treatment is working if the ‘numbers’ reduce. Good luck with your GP. Also have you asked if there is anymore help you can have for care for your daughter when your treatment begins, just try and get things in place just incase you need to lean on people for help, I don’t know your family situation, I’m just trying to offer some advice. Not sure if you work but there maybe benefits you may be entitled to, if you don’t ask the Macmillan benefits advisor (there is usually one in each hospital) or they might be one in your local area you can make an appointment to see, that’s what I did and she filled all the forms in for me as they are quite complicated, Keep trying to be positive.
Much love....Jo xx
Just come back from having CT scan. In and out in about 10 minutes. Wasn’t told of any side effects after session but I feel weird. Light headed and shaky limbs. Is this typical?
Thanks for advice about the cancer markers. I didn’t know that.
Gonna take it easy for a while.

Oh! That’s interesting. I just had to sit all afternoon and now resting in bed again. I am trying to pace myself but I have so much to organise and I don’t know how long I will be fit to do it. Thanks for telling me about drinking extra water over next few days.
You are doing a good job of keeping me on the right track.
