  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I'm really sorry to read that your husband has just been diagnosed with osteosarcoma and it's natural to feel as you are. Most people find that once they have a treatment plan in place they feel more in control.

As you know, the online community is divided up into different support groups and I can see that you've found and joined the carers only group which is a safe and supportive place to discuss your worries and emotions with others who have a loved one living with cancer.

When you have a minute, it would be great if you could pop something about your husband's diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

  • Hi Riddle. I have just posted my situation on the forum which is similar to yours. My wife has high grade osteosarcoma. She starts chemo shortly. We had good advice from our Macmillan nurse on how to tell our 3 young kids. I hope your husband has a positive treatment plan in place now. Best wishes to you both.
