My husband had his first Zometa on Friday & as been in agony with bone pain, so much so he's now got oramorph & having radiotherapy on the spine on Friday.
I am away at present & was under impression Zometa helped the bone pain not increase it? He's gone back to Marsden today to be measured up for radiotherapy via CT scan & marked up where radiotherapies needed, he is having this on Friday.
Is this a normal reaction to Zometa, the pain was so bad he couldn't sleep over the weekend & he says he wasn't forewarned about the pain.
As anyone else experienced this?
Hi again Tillyboo
I’ve done a search in the bone cancer group for posts mentioning zometa but have drawn a blank. However there are posts mentioning zometa in this group
As your husband’s primary cancer is lung cancer and he has bone metastasis rather than primary bone cancer, you could try posting again in the secondary bone cancer group where others might reply. Hope this helps.
