Well after 18 month of BCG and things going well 2 weeks ago went for camera after latest rou d of treatment and there is was for all to see a return of the C had CT scan and premonition Monday its just the wait that drives tou mad and trying to remember what you had when then last time, think it was Tutbt and then tumour removed a couple of weeks later. Hoping in non invasive again but part of me says get rid as its a time bomb especially as preventative medicine has failed. Good luck to all on the same or similar journeys
Hi Paul welcome to this friendly forum. I too am on the BCG trail for a very high risk BC so understand your situation.I am sorry to hear you are going through this . Bladder cancer is known for its recurrence, it makes it quite a roller coaster of a journey doesnt it. I know of and have read from folk on here about the recurrences , with variable biopsy results determining the next steps of treatment. Its the waiting for the results is so very hard, often fearing the worst and feeling anxiety plus . Fingers crossed for you the biopsy will come back a lower grade. Keep in touch and let us know how you get on. Do you have a date yet for the surgery ?
Much love Angela x
Dear PaulD,
I hope the second TURBT goes well. I think they remove any tumour during it unless while trying they find it has gone into the muscle - mine had. That was what my consultant told me aanyhow. I only had one TURBT (2022) so I don't recall much else.
Personally I was glad to get rid of my faulty bladder but should say that even after that, at first quarterly and now 6 monthly, I have checks, blood tests and chest to pelvis CT scans to see if is back. And of course now I have no bladder it might be anywhere.
I try not to think about it and usually succeed until I can see the tests online.
All the best

Hi Paul,
I am sorry to hear this news. I myself am 2 weeks away from starting 24 sessions of BCG for high grade BC. Stay strong and positive. I totally understand the wait for results and then follow-ups drives you insane. Good luck and take care. Fingers crossed for you.
