Just back from seeing the consultant. My PET scan shows no more issues taking place. After getting the usual bloods etc taken iam good to go on Thursday morning Northern Ireland Cancer Centre to start my chemotherapy
I've mixed emotions. I want to get on with this ASAP, but at the same time apprehensive. My head will be up as it always is. Iam going to be the winner here, not the Cancer
Stay positive everyone
Mark
Hi Mark. Do you know what chemo you will be having ? The full day hit? best wishes.
Hi Mark. Yes, that's what I had. Make sure you wear loose and comfortable clothes. Plenty of snacks and drinks. Something to keep you occupied. Don't forget to tune in to the hospital wifi. I was advised to get a good quality mouthwash and use regularly to help prevent mouth sores. I found the chemo lounge to be friendly and upbeat and not all doom and gloom as you may expect. I hope it goes well. Best wishes.
