Just back from seeing the consultant. My PET scan shows no more issues taking place. After getting the usual bloods etc taken iam good to go on Thursday morning Northern Ireland Cancer Centre to start my chemotherapy
I've mixed emotions. I want to get on with this ASAP, but at the same time apprehensive. My head will be up as it always is. Iam going to be the winner here, not the Cancer
Stay positive everyone
Mark
Hi Mark. My oncologist recommended using a good quality mouthwash regularly as a preventative measure to help prevent mouth sores which can happen with chemo. I swilled out a couple of times a day and didn't get any. Best wishes
Hi rily
Sorry to bother you so late. Since my first chemotherapy on Thursday I have felt really good I have had no major issues and count my self lucky.
However, I have continously had really bad hiccups, heartburn and indigestion which lasts for hours at a time. Iam putting it down to the sickness tables and steroid tablets I was sent home with but iam afraid to take any other remedies for it.
Have you heard of anyone else with similar after their chemotherapy?
Many thanks
Mark
