bladder cancer December 24

Aston63 . Hi Dave and welcome to this supportive group, although sorry you find yourself here. I was also 63 when diagnosed. I'm now 73 if that is any reassurance. Bladder cancer can be treated successfully. Your pre op should be for your TURBT procedure. Ask any questions about that if you are not sure. Lots of experiences here to answer anything or just have a chat. We know how scary the early days can be. Best wishes.

You are doing everything right to move towards treatment, so go easy on yourself and put your trust in your treatment team. STAY AWAY FROM DR GOOGLE. Lots of help on here from people who who have shared the same journey. I was more or less where you are now, a year ago. All the best, Leo

Will it be ok if we keep in touch,? really need a friend like you right now. My wife has been a rock since diagnosed but need someone who has been through this experience to help me and hope i can help you in some way.

Thank you so much Leo , and yes i know Dr Google is what i did initially but i keep of it now. It's scary as you well know but as you say it's in the  lap of the gods and the treatment team from now on.

I'm new to all this on here but i already know that I've got a new family of friends

I understand you did not take well to BCG , is this a standard procedure after TURBT for most people ? .... And how long did you have to wait after pre op before the actual Op , i was told it could be up to 6-8 weeks
