Hi, i'm new here. Just wanted to say hello. Here is my story so far ... 42yo female, mum of one.
Pain urinating and passed lots of blood and clots, lasted approx 10hrs, then stopped for 24hrs, started again lasting about 10hrs. Saw gp for suspected kidney stones.
Obvious blood in sample, tests showed blood but no infection. Prescribed painkillers and precautionary anti'bs, ultrasound requested.
Radiology sent ultrasound request back and said I needed to go on 2wk pathway.
Pathway appointment showed clear ultrasound of kidneys but cytoscopy showed an area of concern in my bladder, blood vessels, puckering and a lumpy patch.
Hospital admission for turbt, doc advised a tumour was removed, he suspects either an inverted papilloma or a small carcinoma. Im booked in to receive my results face to face on Monday 4th. I go on holiday on the 10th. Consultant has said il still be able to go.
Any advice would be welcome, in my head im expecting it to be cancer and just hoping its easily treatable as the internet shows inverted papillomas are 1-2% chance rare. Has anyone at this stage received a benign diagnosis? Or can let me know what to expect from the results meeting. I think I want to go by myself, but I dont know if thats a good idea.
Thanks for reading xx
