Good evening all, I’ve not been online much recently..
I hope everyone is as well as they can be.
I got my date through for my CT Scan on my Kidney. Up until now I’ve been feeling really good, BCG treatment all went well, (for the Bladder)
But as soon as I got my date it seems that I’ve been knocked back down to earth. Yesterday I was very flat, had to take today off work.
the what ifs are bad at the moment…been thinking what if they have missed it and it’s spread to somewhere else….
from March when I got diagnosed to the day I finished the BCG treatment I had a determined mind set..now I have finished the BCG and started to relax a bit my mind is starting to go into overdrive….
tomorrow will be a better day…I hope…
love to all

Hi Nigel,
Good to hear from you, all's well thanks and apart from the what ifs hope you are well also.
Hope your CT scan is soon. My CT scan happened at the beginning of my journey, so didn't have a chance to think about it.
I found the actual scan not too bad. A little weird feeling when they injected the dye, but was over very quickly.
I didn't actually get any results back, I had to ask my consultant, who said it was fine. I'm not sure if this is a general thing.
I'm really hoping that you get a good result, but as we know getting an early detection of anything wrong is really a good thing. Not that this helps your anxiety before hand for sure.
Keeping everything crossed for you.
Take care.
Trevor
Hi Nigel, only just caught up with posts. How are you today ? How soon is the CT ? I hope you don't have to wait too long. This is a rollercoaster of a journey isn't it. The pre scans and results build ups are awful, the what ifs are so hard to deal with when they take hold. I remember when you first started your journey saying to you thoughts aren't facts , its one of the phrases i use to help me through. Tbh I have a whole toolbox of things I use to stop the anxiety from taking over. sending you love and hugs friend
Much love Angela x
Thank you all,
CT Scan for Kidney 28th September
Biopsy under GA 1st October…bladder
I kept thinking what if they have missed something, then I remember the urologist telling me that it hadn’t spread.. it was because he said the kidney mass was a cyste, but the renal team want to investigate.. got me thinking what if… it’s horrible…I’m sure they didn’t miss anything…just my mind playing tricks on me…
love to all
