Turbt 2 wks ago stinging won’t go away

Sh377 . Hi Shell and welcome to the group although sorry to hear you are still in some discomfort following your TURBT. for most people the stinging fades after a few days or up to a week. For some, it does tend to last longer but if it does it's always worth while talking to your team. Do you have a CNS ? I see you are on antibiotics so have you been tested for an infection. I've had 2 TURBTs and it took a good 3-4 weeks to start feeling normal again.

As rily has said, get your GP to test your urine to see if you have an infection and if the antibiotics are not working then ask for your urine sample to be sent to the laboratory for testing to check  antibiotics sensitivities.

Have you been told whether you need a second TURBT? My diagnosis was the same as yours (G3 T1) and I had a second surgery 4 weeks after the first, to confirm the results and to check that the cancer was definitely not muscle invasive before I started BCG therapy.

Hi thank you for replying, the gp gave me antibiotics but did say when she dipped stick there was no sign of infection but there was blood that was a week after the turbt thank you I will call the CNS today x

Hi not been told about second turbt, I think from what doctor said they got all of the tumour out and BCG in 4weeks time I’m going to contact CNS today fingers crossed I get some answers wish you well x
