Hi everyone, new to this community, new to cancer, I guess. So I got diagnosed last week and all.of a sudden I'm dealing with words I have trouble saying, let alone spelling, but I'm learning, fast. It's bloody scary, I have learned that much. Not sure about any of it, if I'm honest, so your group seemed to be a good place to start.
Hi Kevv and a warm welcome to the group. We know how you must be feeling at the moment. The uncertainty and not knowing can be an anxious time. Early days for you, but once you have a treatment plan in place, things become easier as you have something positive to focus on. You will have various consultations to see which way you are going. If it is any reassurance, I was diagnosed with muscle invasive bc ten years ago as have many others. Feel free to ask any questions. Lots of experience here. Best wishes.
Hi rily, thanks for the warm welcome. Yeah it does "make your head spin" for sure. My main concern is if it has spread, I had a CT scan on my lungs yesterday. As I've been told, if it hasn't spread they want to treat with chemo to shrink the bladder tumour, then remove my bladder (that's scary) I can't seem to get a "plan B" if it has spread.. I guess I will get results from scan soon enough, any thoughts on "plan B"
Hello Kevv
When I was referred knocked me side ways I had only lost my husband suddenly weeks before I not as brave as you couldn't bring myself even to look at this page my sister did it for me . Now had flexiscope tumor found "much bigger than thought I was beside myself with "What if's" could think a day ahead had results it was a whopper of a tumor grade one removed now on review in three months I went thru so many scenarios during this time convinced it was hoing to be the worse news. I can't say not worry it doesn't work take each step a day each procedure step by step ask away any questions on hear so many people have been thru so many treatments and are willing to listen. I feel so very grateful for the support shown and extremely lucky that my position was spotted and dealt with quickly.
Best of luck have faith hope to soon how things are goingx
Hi Kevv,A warm welcome from me too.It is all a lot to take in at the beginning but this is a good place for advice and support.Take it one step at a time if you can and stay off Dr Google is the advice we give all newcomers. This group is friendly so I’m sure you will find it helpful.Best wishes Jane
We had a holiday to Greece planned with daughter and grandkids, for 2 weeks starting last Tuesday. Thought it best to stay home and sort and attend appointments, but sent wifey and daughter on holiday, my eldest son is only a few miles away if I need him, but still get my daily "WhatsApp" orders from wife lol, so I'm feeling blessed with that..
