Hi, I’m new to the group and just wanted to say hi. My husband fist cancer diagnosis was in 2015. 6 years in remission and then diagnosed with bladder cancer in November 21. Removed January 22, chemo then immunotherapy which was not working and then cancer came back on the bowel. He is on a new chemo drug, 4 rounds in and stable. Incurable so managing it at the moment. No new growth but not receding. Lots of little complications ongoing but he never complains and gets on with it. Just wanted to say hi.
Hello Penlou, My word you have had a few bumps in the road! The treatment he has had has worked so well in the past and I am sure new treatment will do so also, but it is difficult to always smile and carry on. We are at the beginning of our journey and am trying to feel positive, have wonderful support from MacMillan and everyone involved in my Husband's treatment. Keep well, Pass on that smile.xx
Positivity is key, we always say baby steps… like you the support, nurses, consultants have all been amazing. We are hearing amazing things on the news about new trials and blood tests to detect cancer early. Take care and yes keep smiling. X
