Hi. Very recent shock of a bladder removal and a bilateral ureterostomy for my lovely dad after original stoma got sepsis. All new to coping and because of his age we are happy to help. Yesterday managed a shower with bags on but then last night both leaked. I think he didn’t dry properly because the adhesive had clearly lost grip and it unravelled while sleeping? Should he have showered with bags off? And is that safe with the catheter stents?
Also today the holes look a bit wet .. is that ok?
we haven’t seen stoma nurses yet but I will call them tomorrow (day five since discharge )
any advice gratefully received
Hi Gemsireland. I did not have removal so not much help but let me welcome you to the group. I'm sure our friends with experience of this should be along to offer some advice. Best wishes.
