Hi
My husband was diagnosed with bladder cancer in December 2018. He had surgery and ended up with bladder removal and a stoma. He had chemo and was on an immunotherapy trial. All his treatment ended in August 2020. In June 2022 he had a seizure and was admitted to the stroke ward, however the scan showed brain cancer all over his brain. Last week we were told it is incurable. The oncologist has recommended chemo. Has anyone in the group been diagnosed with brain cancer as a secondary cancer to bladder cancer?
Welcome to the group, sad to hear you & your husband are in this position. I have come across people who have had secondaries in the brain, although not the commonest location. It can also be coincidental, only the experts will be able to tell you. If the hospital has not already given you info, well worth finding out if there is local cancer support (Macmillan or otherwise), or more general support for terminal conditions. Very best wishes to you both.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
