Hi
Im new to this group and would appreciate any similar experiences.
My lovely husband had TURBT and the surgeon removed 80% of the tumour. He went to see another surgeon at another hospital to discuss the removal of his bladder, prostate and lymph nodes. The same day we had the meeting with the surgeon he collapsed and was rushed into hospital where they found a large blood clot on his lungs. He then went into cardiac arrest and was thankfully resuscitated. He has continued to bleed out from the tumour and had it cauterized in another surgial procedure. They have now put in a stent in his kidneys due to a blockage in his ureter and he continues have a large amount of blood in his catheter. We can only assume the blockage is cancerous and he is on anticoagulents. Has anyone else similar experience?
Hi Caireh1, I should have logged off before now but seeing your post, just want to say welcome to this most friendly helpful and supportive group. My husband's history is completely different to yours so I can't offer similar experience, but I'm sure others will be along before too long with useful thoughts for you. Hopefully after the drama they will be keeping an eye on his blood to make sure he has not lost an undue amount.
Best wishes,
Denby
