Can people explain this to me in english or as you would explain to a 10 year old lol? Obviously i know it's very bad news. Does this mean my bladder cancer has spread to my kidneys? or vice versa.
"73 year old female visible haematuria. Renal ultrasound = left kidney shows complex cyst with irregular areas in the bladder. Bloods gfr 80. FINDINGS 4cm long axis papillary lesion on wall of bladder. Both UOs are visible away from the lesions. Base of lesion 2cm and likely to be TCC lesion”
with thanks

Hi and a welcome from me also. Bear in mind that we are not medics and can only go on our own experiences and this is my interpretation. TCC is transitional cell carcinoma. One of the more common forms of bladder cancer. A kind of solid mass. I assume UO is Ureter Openings. These are the tubes that connect the kidneys to the bladder. It is a positive that the lesions are clear of the ureters as sometimes it can be more complicated if these openings are blocked. The kidney cyst would need further investigation. The first major step in bladder cancer treatment would be a TURBT operation (transurethral resection of bladder tumour). It sounds worse than it is. The lesion would be removed and biopsies taken. The biopsies would confirm if it is cancer and also determine the next step. Hope this is not too much info, many of us have been through this. Lots of experience here to answer any questions you may have. Best wishes.
Thanks for that rily. You have answered very clearly all my questions.Appreciated
