Evening all,
Been going through a rough time with BCG#18..
Ive been logging everything I’ve been eating and drinking to see if I could find out what causes the most irritation..
it turns out that’s it’s the Lemon Barley water…
now I’m either drinking to much of it or not diluting it enough.
when I’m drinking it, the irritation of my bladder causes me to go to the loo around 30 times a day, not getting any sleep and unable to sit down or walk around pain free… today I’ve eaten the same food but drank just water…now going to the loo is more painful due to no lemon diluting the urine…but the pain quickly goes and I’m able to walk around pain free and also I’m not going to the loo as half as much…I’ve even today had onion rings and chilli and no complaints with the bladder as yet…still not got much flow but I’m happy with that…
the lemon barley water was the last thing for me to check…I hope I’m right…
love to all Nigel xxx
Hi Nigel. The idea of lemon barley is not to help the bladder but to help with getting the water down. It was recommended to add a just touch to water to make it slightly more palatable. Best wishes.
Morning Nigel, Sorry to hear your having problems and discomfort. My daily routine is to have a large glass of cold water as soon as I wake up. I take medication for my prostate and BP with a glass of weak water/ lemon Barley water (Original). A cup of decaffeinated tea with breakfast. I drink water for the remainder of the day. Coffee sparingly up to mid afternoon. Trevor is correct we are all different.stay well.

For what its worth,I was told to drink Robinsons barley water. But these days I grind barley grains in a blender. Then add boiling water. Clears up any uti for me. As a bonus, there is no sugar.
