Hi all,
So dad finally had his TURBT today, I have been to see him at hospital and he is feeling pretty rough.
The surgeon/doctor told him they got a lot of the tumor out but couldn't get it all, they said it had spread through the wall. 
We have to now wait for official results from biopsy, so we know the grading and treatment plan.
What are people's experiences with tumors that have spread through wall? What type of treatment is next? How will we know if it has spread to other parts of the body or not?
Sorry for all the questions, but my mind is now spinning.

Hi 2ndDaughter44 . Good to know dad has now had is TURBT but sorry to hear he is in some discomfort. He should start feeling a bit better after a few days. As you say, he will need to wait for biopsy results but he may have some scans, CT, MRI or both. In many cases there is a follow up TURBT to mop up and not as severe as the first. Once they have the full picture, they will come up with a plan. I hope all goes well. Best wishes.
Hi 2ndDaughter44 . in my case I had CT and MRI scan on the same day a few weeks after having a follow up TURBT and it is likely your dad will have some scans to check if anything else is going on and to put some more pieces in the jigsaw. Best wishes.
