A bit of light relief while we are on this cancer journey, evoking memories, joys , passion and funny stories. Its all here from prog rock, to punk rock and everything in between. Hope you book mark it and join in. Music can be a huge comfort in times of distress . It can also make you dance around the kitchen when no one is watching ! Add your stories. Recently chatted about Mr Halofan attending a YES concert, and it was really uplifting.
Mr Halofan introduced me to Syd Barret Dark Globe , which i think on first listening you think is just abit ‘out there’ until you read about poor Syds struggles with mental health. As a Bowie fan, i can hear some of barretts influence on bowies earlier tracks.

The Prog Taxi by Scotvip
Cheers Scott
Now albums are much harder to chose I would say. That has got me thinking Scotvip . I shall be having bcg tomorrow so will have a couple of days where i need something to keep me mentally focussed. Top ten albums should keep me busy, however i must add that most of my albums involved bowie and that ilk.
Deacon Blue always make me think of scotland and i have no idea why , almost like an anthem . There have been a few great bands come out of scotland. ( we wont mention the bay city rollers ) . Take care

Hello Angela, I agree about the two days post a BCG dose. You really do need something that makes you happy to distract. My distractions were very un-highbrow. Glut watch of "Queer Eye" on Netflix and a daily slice of cake. xx
I havent seen that , will give it a viewing tomorrow . Thanks herothedog

Yes that’s right. I took a taxi once from my home in Camden Town NW1 to Notting Hill. The young American taxi driver was going on and on about having had no famous fares or even seeing anyone famous on the street. As we pulled up to our destination, a cafe, I said to him. “ Look at that man in the caff eating his breakfast” the driver said “who is that” I replied “ Van Morrison”. He had a run up there every Saturday when in town, job done. Leo
Hi Angela not name dropping honest I did not really meet Van - it would be way too uncool to walk up to him! He was just there. Yeh Hampstead and Camden Town had more than its fair share of the great and the good. Nice places to live both, I have fond memories. But a new thread on I once met is not a bad idea!
