Cancer pushing against Sciatic Nerve

First off Happy xmas to all.

As some people on here know i have Advanced BC and it has spread to my Pelvic muscle which is pushing against my Sciatic Nerve.

At the moment the pain is being treated by my own concoction of Paracetamol and Ibuprofen during the day and i add Morphine (Quick Release) 10mg and 2x codeine 30mg tablets at night, i take a Lansoprazole to combat the Ibuprofen.  I have met with the palliative care consultant who wants to take away the Codeine and replace it with 10mg slow release Morphine and Dexamethasone 6mg for 10 days. The main contributor to relieving the pain seems to be the Ibuprofen. I just think that what they are going to put me on is insufficient.

My concern is that i will be in quite a lot of pain while i transition onto the new meds

Does anyone have a similar thing regarding the Nerve issue and if so what meds have you been put onto, so i can discuss other options when i have my next appointment.

I have Moderate to Severe pain around 8 to 10 hours every day

Thanks
