So I have a new symptom, which frankly is a little scarey.
I have what seems like a sciatica pain in my hip & leg. It keeps me up at night & I end up only being able to go to bed around 3am. I saw my GP, who did surprisingly little to test for anything, but did book me an urgent X-Ray & informed my oncologist who moved forward my next CT scan to mid September.
I am also thankfully under the adjunctive care of an Oncologist at CoC in London. I get regular zoom meetings & he was able to suggest pain management options for my hip & leg. The fact that it is far worse at night, puts on a more positive light, although the panic from the GP still makes me worried.
I had the X-Ray today & the operator could tell how worried I was. She was so kind & even showed me the X-Ray afterwards, pointing out that she wasn't a radiologist, but has an idea what to look for. She did but me a little more at ease & was a lovely kind lady. I expect I will hear the result soon. I have to wonder what I'd do if it turns out to be cancer spreading.
Hi Coojee
That's hard news. Are medics offering treatments to slow progression? I believe there are a number of options. Trust they can sort the pain out asap. I have a good friend, a very experienced palliative care nurse, who is very clear that with modern meds nobody should ever be in pain. Sending you love H x
