My op was 11 hours . I had stage T2/T3 as the tumour broke through the bladder wall. I had to get left kidney removed as was affected by the tumour in the bladder but it was not cancerous. I also had hysterectomy and due to damage to my spleen during surgery that was removed too.
I had chemo before surgery 3, 3 week cycles
A lot to get my head round and for my body to recover but I am niw cancer free and that is something to be thankful for
Hi Katy G, I was just going through some of the unanswered posts and came across yours. Sounds like you've been through quiet a bit but so happy to hear that you are now cancer free.
Hope you are enjoying life x
Hi, yep a bit of a rollercoaster and readmitted again last week. Now I have a fistula which is causing some problems. On so many antibiotics just now none of which are pleasant. I am hopeful I won't need further surgery. In saying all that, still progressing despite set backs
Katy G I'd talk to your doctor about taking a good probiotic as well as the antibiotics so you can replenish all the good bacteria being wiped out alongside the bad bacteria. So long as you are progressing and cancer free it's a lot to be grateful for. Hope the fistula and infection get sorted soon.
