Hi was wondering if anybody developed a rash from The stoma that is itchy the barrier stick I have been told to use, does not help any advice?

Hi Amelia,This can happen.I was given some special wipes by the stoma nurse when I had an area that was sore.Sometimes the removal wipes can irritate too.I only use water to wash around the stoma.Tell your stoma nurse and hopefully they will be able to advise on what’s best.It is all a bit trial and error,a bit like choosing the right stoma bag.I hope it settles soon.Love Jane xx
Hi Amelia,I just have the bag.I don’t think getting hot helps.Perhaps you could post on the ileostomy,colostomy stoma support board and see if anyone has any tips to help ? I hope you can get it sorted.Love Jane x
