Hi, I have had three TURBT operations over the last 21 months; although the findings are low grade, there seems to be more growing back each time. The recovery from the last TURBT 3 months ago was quite difficult after suffering with an infection; just when you think you are getting back to some kind of normality however, I have started to pass blood again today. My follow up flexible cystoscapy is booked for 14 October. Feeling a bit distraught tbh that this is a sign of things getting worse. Should I see someone about this bleeding or wait for my appointment in a month?
Hi,I’m so sorry you are feeling anxious.Do you have a specialist nurse ? If so you could let them know you are bleeding again.I think it’s worth contacting urology, you may be able to get seen earlier.I used to ask to be contacted if there was a cancellation.Let us know how you get on.Best wishes Jane x
Hi Agado. I agree. It may be wise to try and get your appointment brought forward. It may be nothing, but always best to get checked out. If you call the hospital and ask for the urology waiting list office. Explain your concerns and they may fit you in. Best wishes.
