Hey Blanket, definitely try to speak to a urology nurse this morning, as we know only too well never ignore blood in urine. I reckon they might say get to GP for UTI test. Don't leave it over weekend...one time I kept thinking things would clear and eventually ended up in A+E with loads of men in shorts with football and rugby injuries I was there for hours! Sending you big hugs, let us know how you get on? Hx
Hello there H, How're you doing? Well I don't know if my original post will get posted or not, but good news as all went well for yesterdays rigid cysto/TURBT. 3 tumours removed, no pain, felt full of joy, must've been something they gave me Uro gave me antibiotics which I took right away, & Codeine for the pain that I expected to get, he's good! I did ring the urgent Surgical Assessment Unit this morning as the Day Surgery doesn't open until 7.30am. They said to ring back within an hour if no change, however, I managed to empty the bladder fully so I didn't bother. I've rang the Day Surgery Unit & explained, they say drink a litre of water an hour. Now I'm terrified that I'll burst! . They said If no better by morning to go to the Urgent Care Centre. But like you say I don't really want to leave it until morning with it being the weekend. Plus I am weeing regular. I've just just tried a new teqnique where I clench the bladder muscles when I can weee no more, & I manage to go again .... Thanks ever so much H, & watch out for those rugby players xxx
Hi Jane, hope you're ok & not in too much pain with your back. No not tried going at home standing up. But I've tried when I was abroad & attempted to do it in the hole in the ground toilets, that didn't go very well. Although if I crouched down I could barely get up again after. Thanks for you advice , much appreciated xxx
Wow Blanket 9 months off.....that truly is a promotion x Ah I hadn't realised your bleeding was after a rigid cysto, therefore probably not so worrying, bladder spasming from being poked at? Clots from where they scraped the tumours away (better out than in) Keep on drinking. Denby got me onto lemon barley water and I do find it's good. I'm waiting for my next cysto end of Sept. They've put me back on flexi ones this time as my last rigid was all clear. Fingers and toes crossed. x
I find if I want to feed my garden pants as recommended by no less than Gardeners' Question Time on the Beeb, a plastic jug held tight under me allows a nearly-standing lady-wee. Might that help??? [BTW then add minimum 3 times as much water before pouring on plants.]
Denby
Thanks H. I tried Denny’s Lemon Barkley but it didn’t work out for me. However, the praying did Denby, thank you. Also singing, rocking, wandering around with pants around ankles
