Results

I waited exactly 2 weeks … I guess it depends on the situation at your NHS site with Covid and other issues. I heard that all waiting list have become enormously long … hang in there! I know... it is hard to wait. But one week more or less having the results is not going to be much different from the cancer point of view... Try to relax: take the waiting time as a "suspended state" … to be honest I didn't managed that all the time … but now the only thing you can do is wait. Remember that this type of cancer is one of the most curable. There are so many options, cures … All the best! 

Mine have always been two weeks. It's to allow time for the multi-disciplinary team meeting where results get discussed/reviewed. Can you ring your CNS to get results or do you need an appointment with consultant? Hope yours are positive. x

It usually takes about a week to 10 days to process the biopsies. The waiting then depends on the availability of the consultant to give results. We are seeing more phone consultations these days rather than face to face. I hope all goes well. Best wishes. 

Thank you it’s been 2 weeks today. I’ll give it a couple of more days then ring. 

Thanks for the tip. I was told I might get a phone call but I assumed that was to give me an appointment, not a consultation. 

Hi . If you do get a phone consultation, try and record the conversation. It's difficult to take everything in and people tend to forget all that is said. Also ask to be copied in on the meeting notes so you have a record. Best wishes.
