Hi all
I’m 12 days after my op. I have some pain at times at the op site. Worst thing is a kind of bloating/fullness lower stomach above bladder. Just wondered if anyone else experienced this?
Hi . It is not unusual at this time to feel some discomfort. It can take up to 6 weeks for the wound to heal, and the first 2 weeks, you must not do anything strenuous to aggravate things. About this time, you may notice you are passing some tiny blood clots. This is normal as the wound heals and the scab starts to break away. Obviously any serious bleeding or excessive pain, contact your team. Best wishes.
Yes, mine is worse in the evening. I think it's because the body is more tired. I've been talking ibuprofen as I have a sensitivity to paracetamol. But will be switching to paracetamol next week during my chemo as suggested by my oncologist.
