Finger Nail problems during BCG

I'm due #10 shortly and have had no problems with my nails

Hi julie, great you have successfully completed first 6 doses. Some folk struggle with side effects right from the start. Fingers crossed for clear results at your follow-up TURBT (mine was 6 weeks after 6 induction doses.) I've now had the whole course of 27 doses but no nail problems. I wonder what the cause is? Maybe have a chat with your GP? Let us know what you find out? x

Hi Julie I am having my 9th treatment on Wednesday but so far no problem with finger nails but I've had a painful nostril last few weeks I've been putting vaseline on it to keep it moist and that seems to be doing the trick .. maybe these little ailments would have happened anyway but when we're having this treatment we want to see if anyone else has experienced the same .. maybe some calcium tablets would help .. hope all goes well  sending you best wishes love Tina xx

Hi, thank you, I have my next turbt in just over 2 weeks x  hope your treatment is all going to plan, I will contact my doctor and see if it’s something completely none related 

I know what you mean, things happen to your body and you wonder if it’s to do with the treatment, that’s why it’s nice having this forum

Anyone planning/taking calcium tablets, just be aware the standard calcium carbonate ones are pretty ineffective, calcium citrate is better absorbed. Always a good idea to check with a decent pharmacist in case any interaction with your treatment.

I've had 12 doses but nothing with my nails like yours; but I have loads of ridges on almost all my nails. I don't know if that's from the BCG or not. Hope all else is well with you.
