Havnt been on this forum for a while as I've been dealing with Prostate cancer at the same time .Just thought I would share good news to encourage those who find themselves with cancer and need to hear a positive story.

In 2016 I was diagnosed with superficial  Bladder cancer PTa grade 2 high grade and at the same time prostate cancer .I had two Turbts which cleared the cancer and 6 installations of Mitomycin one tiny little reccurance in January 2017 and after that all clear .Just had a cystiscopy today all clear and now no more checks for another year .

I had a prostectomy in February 2020 due to a sudden rise in my PSA the operation  failed to bring down my PSA meaning cancer remained, but I had a course of salvage RT and hormone treatment and my PSA is now undetectable no cancer .My consultants are very happy with me .How long this lasts no one knows but my consultants are very hopeful that I have been cured. So there are positive outcomes and although none of us know our future, treatments these days are advancing all the time .I was given the wonder drug Enzalutimide for the prostate cancer due to Covid it was prescribed as a first line ADT .Its also being trialled for certain bladder cancers with promising results .So great news all round !
