Not been on here for a long time thankfully. My husband has had two bouts of tumours over a few years. First one had the bcg chemo one off then next time had six weeks of chemo into his bladder. Just back from another 3 month cystoscopy and he was told there were large blood vessels which indicates there are more tumours that just haven’t popped through yet. He has to prepare himself for a recurence and further procedure in three months. I wish they hadn’t told us and waited until the next one as it’s going to be a long three months wait. He had such a hard time with the last one having his bladder punctured in two places and then readmitted with sepsis. Anyone else been warned beforehand and shown the roots on the screen? This chat has always been so helpful !
Never heard of that, which is maybe not much help. At least with the warning given the rough time previously, I would be looking at building him up as much as possible during the 3 months. Check mineral status, check with pharmacist and start top quality daily multi-vits/minerals, omega 3 supplements help to build healthy cell walls, sustained release Vitamin C twice a day which boosts immunity, if he is on statins add Ubiquinol. Switch all food and drink you can afford/obtain to organic, to boost nutrition and reduce toxic load of agro-chemicals. Don't forget to include yourself in any healthy changes as we carers need our health to combat the stress of caring and carry on doing it. Any queries on the science behind the above feel free to pm me.
best wishes, Denby
Hi Roxy204. We have seen the suspicious red patches many times on here and usually turn out to be inflammation. I have had several false alarms over the years. Never heard of anyone being told raised blood vessels could be a precursor to a recurrence. I have had more than 20 flexi checks over the years and they always show raised blood vessels caused by the radiotherapy. Never caused me any problems and the doctors have always identified what they are. Anxious few weeks to wait now for another check for your husband, but I hope all works out well. Best wishes.
Thanks Rily you have given great advice since I joined the group years ago. I am so relieved you have said that. I feel a bit more positive now. I was surprised at the consultant being so definite. He was very relieved when I read him this. I hope you are keeping well
