Yes I had this done and it was fine they just zapped a red patch that they were concerned about. It did not take long and was just like a little pinch. It was like having a cystoscopy.
I had my first post turbt cystoscopy at 3 months, Friday before last.
I had a small 3mm recurrence in a new location, When I saw it on the tv screen and he said what it was, I was instantly imagining having to start my whole treatment all from the start with another turbt and catheters. But instead, he just offered to zap it, he fed a laser in and two zaps and it was gone. Simple and easy.
I'm only surprised they did not offer it to your hubby there and then to avoid another visit.
I’m not familiar with TULA…I’m now on third year BCG maintenance…at routine cystoscopy in June something tiny was seen but because they couldn’t be certain what it was, I’ve just had it removed under general anaesthetic and now waiting results…I’m assuming if the can see it’s non problematic then makes sense they deal with by laser..I’ve never been offered TULA but sounds positive option.
