Today same thing happened, but this afternoon my legs and ankles are swollen so i have them up on recliner, phoned onclogy nurses for advice but answer machine left message but they not phoned me back and advice? Should I phone rapid response as it not an emergency?
Appreiciate any advice x
Hi Amelia55. Chemo can have many varying side effects. When I was having this treatment I had a 24 hour helpline number in my chemo record book to call if I had any concerns. This service may have been reduced now because nurses have been redirected to covid duties, so may not be of much help. If you are concerned and can't contact anyone, it might be an idea to call NHS 111 just for advice and peace of mind. Keep us posted. Best wishes.
I.have no experience of chemo but if you feel anxious definitely call NHS 111. It’s their job to answer these kinds of worries. Hope you feel better soon, x
