Hi,I contacted my CNS as haven’t had the 4 monthly follow up that the urologist said would happen post cystectomy.I assumed it was delayed because of Covid but somehow I have fallen through the net.My urologist has ordered blood tests for next week and a phone consultation on the 6th April.Hopefully things are back on track now.I haven’t been feeling well recently so it will be good to talk to the urologist. It’s a grey and cloudy day here so it’s lovely to see some tulips are out in the garden.Love to you all Jane xx

  • The cowslips I planted in a corner a couple of years ago have just come into flower here. And lots of frogspawn in the plastic boxes again, just hope I can nurture it into tadpoles and frogs. Planning to put a crate over to stop the blackbirds gobbling so many this year, they have other things to eat including the fatballs we put up in the hard weather.

  • Hope all goes well for you xx you are always so encouraging to everyone and we appreciate it greatly x you mentioned that your mother had to go into a home that can cause you a lot of stress and anxiety which in turn can make you feel ill..it's a terrible time when our elderly parents need so much support and if you're not well yourself it gets too much xx take care and enjoy your weekend xx things are back on track for you now Kissing heart love Tina xx

  • Now I’ve looked with the binoculars it wasn’t the tulips but they are about to come out.I’ve emptied our pond as it needed a good clear out.It was made from the potting up part of an old greenhouse. The greenhouse had already been dismantled when we moved in.Mum and I decided to repurpose the area so we had a seating area and a pond.I might look for a smaller moulded pond to fit in the space as we enjoyed the frogs and newts. The blackbirds love the windfall apples, there are plenty to keep them fed.Xx

  • Hi Tina,I don’t feel as stressed now mum’s financial assessments have been completed. She had got into a real muddle with her household papers so it’s taking a while to get everything sorted and filed.Perhaps all the mental and physical exhaustion has caught up with me.Looking after mum even with help was hard work after major surgery.I do miss her company and caring for her,I had done it since 2004.I shall be thinking of you on Tuesday.Love Jane x

  • Hi Jane, well done for chasing up your follow up. The NHS is such a big organisation it's not surprising we sometimes slip through the net.Thank goodness for our CNS's. Glad you've got your mum's assessments completed. I totally empathise with the stress of sorting through paperwork, it must be a huge relief when the submission is made. Really hope there will be proper state help with her costs. One way or another you did have a very full on past year what with your surgery and your mum's health issues, and COVID. How long before you and your partner can hook up? As you live alone cant you be each other's bubble or don't bubbles exist anymore. I confess I have lost track of Boris's rules. I made a booking for lunch with a friend at a fab Michelin star restaurant local to here. Not till 26th May but it's something to look forward to. Sending you love H x

  • Thank you xx yes I agree you miss them terribly ..my mother had all so over missed  her for a very long time xx we were very close x strangely enough I had a lot to sort out for her too ... it caused me so much worry .. she was having a pension from my stepfather and I have no idea where it comes from so can't get in touch with them ..I've been to the bank and closed account so if any money goes in it will be returned to pension xx take care love Tina x

    ..

  • She had alzeimers and I had missed her for a long time xx it was all mixed up lol

  • Hi H,I’ve had so much stress since 2017 when we were flooded.I was beginining to get the house sorted when I got cancer.I’ll get there it will be a slow process.I formed a bubble with my sister Sarah as my partner John has been shiielding for the past year.I do feel for people who have had to shield,it really is so tough for them.John & I do speak on the phone and text daily but we have both found it difficult being apart. It is important to have things to look forward to,I am hoping to go down to Poole to see my uncle. He has stopped driving now which is for the best.Sarah & I are looking forward to a trip down there when it is ok to travel.Mum has to pay £183 per week towards her nursing care, the rest is funded by social services.I expect your meal will be delicious when you finally get out to eat it.I’m not sure when I will see John,we may be able to meet in our garden.Love Jane xx

  • Some hellebores from the end section of my garden.Jane x

  • I must say that despite Covid all my consultations have gone ahead over the phone, which I prefer, as I'm under two Hospitals. Scans and blood tests have gone ahead as usual and I can't believe it's almost 4 years that I was diagnosed.

Anyway, enough about me, glad you've got your follow up sorted out. Good luck, but I hope you don't need it and everything goes well.

It doesn't matter where you go, there you are
