Morning all, beautiful sunny morning on Exmoor. Some good news for me I hope. Got a group email from NDDH Urology this week asking us to complete a questionnaire. Prompted me to send an email tentatively enquiring about my postponed flexi (March 25th) to the Urology Dept administrator on Wednesday. I mentioned that i had already had two reoccurrences. She emailed back immediately (and very sympathetically) saying she would refer my question to the nurse team. I had a call from my marvellous CNS on Thursday. CNS told me that so far policy has been to prioritise new referrals, to do TURBTs etc, whilst putting routine screening on hold. However since I have previously had two reoccurrences she will ensure that the bookings team reschedule for me asap. Apparently the booking administrators have not been at work but are returning next week. I totally understand and support that new cases should get first attention, but will be relieved to have my flexi. Who'd have thought I'd be looking forward to it?

Hi H so pleased you have had some sort of response from the team hope you soon manage to get your flexi it is very strange times good luck love liz

  • Hope you don't have to wait too long H!

For me I'm still sort of dreading it, but would like to get it done as I've began to imagine the growing tumours with every little twinge.  I've even convinced myself there's a large tumour in there rather than a fat belly because of too much chocolate & crisps Flushed

I've no idea what will happen with me as although I'm always on a list due to recurrence, but when I cancelled my own op as I wanted to go to another hospital I became a new patient.

At least it's good to hear that things are getting moving again H, thanks for that.  Hope everyone else doesn't have too long a wait either.
