Dear Appetite
I miss you so much. Where are you my dear old friend. Where are the days when we had such a lovely time . I miss you from the bottom of my stomach. I am bereft and lonely without you, stomach is missing you too
Eating is a chore just a thing I have to do but without you appetite I may as well eat a cardboard box
How long must I wait for your return. Please please come home soon
Inanna xx
Choc ices? Strawberries and cream? Is there anything that calls to you most? It will return soon. xxx
Reminds me of when I was young & used to eat paper. I'm ashamed to say I ruined many of my Mum's childhood books passed on to me by tearing off corners of the pages and eating them. Good thick paper, not the flimsy sort in modern books.
Try adding some strong flavourings - herbs or spices perhaps. Or sauces - try to avoid sugar, but salt should be OK. But perhaps on real food, not cardboard...
My Mum has a small sherry before her lunch - that can help rouse appetite. The chore will turn into a pleasure again before you know it!
Hi Inanna,I’m sorry you are struggling with your appetite. It should come back but it’s hard to say when. How are you feeling ? I can’t send private messages at the moment but thanks for yours.I’m still waiting to hear back from the social care worker about mum.I’ve been gardening, there is just so much to do outside and it’s hard work. There is even more to do inside but it’s good to take advantage of the good weather.tc love Jane xxxx
Hi Jane
Hope everything gets sorted out
I have just eaten half of a chicken roll from the local bakery. They don't stint on the filling either and it's a long roll, am saving the other half for later.
Happy gardening

Hi H
Yes anything not cooked by me

My closest pub (which just happens to have a michelin star ) is doing a one-off beef curry take-away tomorrow night. We are beside ourselves with excitement not to have to cook anything for one evening! When I feel grot after BCG treatments I always have M+S readimeals. Can't be bothered to cook. I also eat more sweet things than I generally allow myself. Wishing it a speedy return. x
I think your appetite needs to get in touch with its umami. This includes garlic, ginger, chilli, herbs, strong cheeses, Marmite and using caramelisation when cooking.
If you Google 'Life Kitchen, Ryan Rily' you'll find recipes for cancer patients with taste and appetite problems - I can't send the link, the mods will take it down.

I may appear to be listening but in my head I'm all at sea.
CB hi
Thank you for your tip. I think now that if I were able to get to my fave restaurant and have their seabass iwould eat the lot
I am not a cook by nature and certainly not creative

Oh H what a treat, enjoy
