Hi All. How is everyone doing? Anyone stuck indoors? Remember, this is a support group, and things don't always need to be medical. There is usually someone here if you just want a chat, a moan, or any stories. My wife has been stocking up on paint, so guess what I will be doing in the near future. Best wishes.
Fingers crossed Jane! You definitely must find a house which has a garden you love, it was my most important feature when I bought this house. 20 years later and it is still the thing that brings me most pleasure despite the work. I spent 3 hours watering yesterday! xx
Hi H,The house with the wild garden does appeal and it’s still on the market. The agent says the garden has put buyers off there but it didn’t put me off at all. It’s not very big and with some hard work could be made lovely again. What really appealed was a hidden area at the side which could be re instated as a private seating area.I had a good look on street view too and could see there were roses growing which are currently smothered by branches and foliage.xx
Sounds good Jane. Yes cool and cloudy here today 17 degrees. We had to take the crazy Springer Spaniel to his kennels this morning. Our daughter, husband and grandchildren off to Turkey today. On Thursday Son, Partner and grandchildren off to Egypt. We are looking after their border collie. Fingers crossed x
Garviv
Happy dog sitting Garviv. The cat I often look after is turning quite vocal when he sees me.He never miaows at home.I think he has got used to me now which is good as he is timid with people but fierce with cats. This cooler weather is a welcome relief.I might get something done outside if it continues. So many leaves have shrivelled in the heat and the brambles which the birds love have suffered badly.I have a good supply of grapes for them as there are a few vines in the garden.x
The lady that loves the house has a problem with the property that she is selling. However once that is sorted she would like to come back here with a builder.I have a man viewing next week currently in military accommodation.Waiting for news on the potential offer.I’ve told the agent I would rather buy somewhere outright even if the budget is small. My aunt and John are of the same opinion that if I got a flat I would be worrying about all the service charges etc and I agree.Jane x
And a flat is unlikely to have a garden Jane. You need a garden to make your heart sing!
Hi H,I really don’t think I could manage without a garden.I’ve got so used to spending time sitting /working outside it would be difficult to cope.During the recovery from surgery the garden was the sanctuary. It’s no longer peaceful but I have the tame birds to enjoy for company.I’ve told the agent I’m interested in the wild garden house so if it’s still available when mine sells they can help to negotiate a deal.I’m a bit wary about the crime rate there but it ticks so many boxes in other ways.X
