Hi All. How is everyone doing? Anyone stuck indoors? Remember, this is a support group, and things don't always need to be medical. There is usually someone here if you just want a chat, a moan, or any stories. My wife has been stocking up on paint, so guess what I will be doing in the near future. Best wishes.

  • Another warm day. Sunny, but a little windy. Had a decent swim yesterday in the sea. Went in in my wet suit (not a full one) and my eight year old granddaughter followed me in, wearing her normal swimsuit. Doesn't feel the cold.Joy

BP slightly high, but that's down the anxiety I have with having my BP taken, you canstick needles in me etc, but wearing that cuff.yuk

  • I collect them.I had over 8 thousand at one time and had hoped to set up as a photographic researcher.Cancer ruined that plan.I do occasionally get asked to date or identify mystery photographs.I gave a talk to a small group from the university of the third age a few years ago.I really enjoyed that and would love to do more.

  • I started by accident.I was wandering around the Saturday market in Bath with mum back in 1985.I bought 2 books of short stories written in the 1890’s.The authors name and address and first prize was written by them so I tried to find out more about her.It turned out she was the daughter of a clergymen and her brothers were eccentric vicars. At the same time I bought an old photo album and traced the people shown as most were named. It was a cheap interest to have back then and I needed something relaxing as the nursing career could be stressful.I had no idea about fashion or how to date photographs but taught myself and gained knowledge over the years. It was sociable too as I got to know the various antique dealers at fairs and book markets.I miss all that.As my friends and family used to say ‘if it’s wearing a crinoline Jane will buy it’

  • Hi

    It's a shame you can't continue, it's a nice pastime.

  • Perhaps when this house fiasco is over and I’m settled I can start again.I enjoy it especially topography. It’s the challenge of identifying either features of landscape and buildings or a person just from their initials.

  • Hi

Well. I really hope so.Fingers crossedPray
