Hi All. How is everyone doing? Anyone stuck indoors? Remember, this is a support group, and things don't always need to be medical. There is usually someone here if you just want a chat, a moan, or any stories. My wife has been stocking up on paint, so guess what I will be doing in the near future. Best wishes.

  • Hi  . Sorry to hear you are struggling with chemo. Moan away. We understand how it does not just affect your body, but can really get you down mentally. The fatigue can be hard. Make sure you are keeping yourself well hydrated. Just think of a positive outcome. Best wishes.

    Best wishes to All,   rily.

  • Just to send you a hug over and above the purple emoji. Him up there obviously had a reason for my being so absorbed by my book that I'm up this late...Glad you do have support but as you say, lonely at times. x

  • Hi Liza,Hugs,I’m sorry you are feeling low and rough.I hope you feel better soon.Love Jane x

  • Hi Liza25,

never be sorry to have a moan, having been through chemo myself I hear you, it is brutal but you will come through it, I really struggled with nausea too and my hair thinned a lot. I hope you are managing to eat little and often as and when you fancy it, I found the ensure drinks to be okay if I drank slowly and they are full of goodness, not sure if you also have the metallic taste which also doesn’t help.

take care of yourself and keep posting

  • Hi Lisa, Sending you a wrap around hug . Sorry to hear you are having a rough time with the chemo. I think its really important that you shared your feelings so please no apologies. I hope things begin to lift your spirits soon . Stay in touch

    Much love Angela x

  • Yes unfortunately I do have the metallic taste as well. I’ll certainly look at the ensure drink. Thank you x

  • Thank you. I think this weekend was probably just a really bad one. Need to try and stay positive. Hey, if it’s feeling awful it must be working I suppose? ! X

  • My oncologist also got me to freeze pineapple as it helped get rid of the metallic taste as it was one of the few things that tasted as it should.

  • Hi Liza25, side effects are horrible, but as you say they make you feel something might be doing the trick. After a BCG dose if I had a sore inflamed bladder I used to imagine my white cells marching down to defeat the BCG and giving my cancer a right good kicking Slight smile cheered me up. x Never apologise about moaning, we've all been there and we are here now. Keep us posted Hx
