Hi All. How is everyone doing? Anyone stuck indoors? Remember, this is a support group, and things don't always need to be medical. There is usually someone here if you just want a chat, a moan, or any stories. My wife has been stocking up on paint, so guess what I will be doing in the near future. Best wishes.
Hello H, great thoughts! I did similar when I was having radiotherapy. I used to urge the linear accelerator to zap my cancer cells. Garviv

Hi,My partner John is still unwell. He is seeing the consultant in 10 days time so I hope they can help.I have to go to the job centre tomorrow to verify my identification in person.I’m a bit apprehensive but it will be good to see someone face to face.My sister is going to give me a lift over there.Still feeling ill and losing weight.Think I will have to contact my specialist nurse for advice.I did catch up with a bit of gardening at the weekend but everything is growing like mad.Love to all Jane xx
Dear Jane, what a stressful , worrying time for you. Give my wishes to john, i hope both he and you get some answers soon and return to good health. Cant believe you have to go in person to the job centre, life is harsh at the moment. Sending you a big hug
Much love Angela x
Hi all,
Just an update from Friday (see earlier post). I spoke to my CSN Monday and received bucket full of apologies. I wasn't really necessary, as it was all an honest mistake.
I have been referred to the Royal Free due to the fact Barts do not renal specialists and the RF does the job. Normally, Barts would continue to monitor me, but as I only have the one kidney they cannot take chances. If the tiny mass is cancer, it's at a very early stage. Frankly, the likelihood is active surveillance for a few years and then micro surgery. Not particularly freaked out, just fed up of the admin cock ups.
I have contacted RF and asked for a telephone consultantation, or video link, as I can't see the point of travelling all that way. Less time consuming, less expensive, and a bit less of the nerves.. My MDT at Barts don't seem to think it will be an issue, but it's down the RF to decide, but then the RF haven't encountered me and I am sure I can change their minds.
Hi
Well they don't want to see me for about 8 weeks and my CSN was ok about the time. The Hospitals have joint MDT meetings, which include UCH, where I had my RC, so they should have the latest scans, bloods egg. so not I'm "new" patient. I do get white coat syndrome when having my blood pressure taken, although this soon wears off. I just don't need the journey hassle for ten minute consult.
