Hi All. How is everyone doing? Anyone stuck indoors? Remember, this is a support group, and things don't always need to be medical. There is usually someone here if you just want a chat, a moan, or any stories. My wife has been stocking up on paint, so guess what I will be doing in the near future. Best wishes.

  • Hi H,I’m sorry to hear you are having problems with the insurance.I hope you can get a hire car.It must be much trickier with transport in a more remote location.I’m in a small town and the public transport system is worse here now than when I moved here in 1998.Transport is one of the things I have to consider in a new place as I can’t drive. It was never a problem until fairly recently.I can’t afford to run a car even if I could drive.Love Jane x

  • Thanks for the hug Denby.Ploughing on with the book listing and boxing up today. It’s good to be inside as the weather is wild here today.Love Jane x

  • At least you are inside in the warm, the weather is very windy here to in Kent.

  • It’s very windy in Norfolk, I picked my last runner beans from the garden today, never gone on this late before, it’s a funny old world.

  • The seasons have been odd this year.Nice to have runner beans.I don’t have any veg in the garden just pear and apple trees.

  • Had them tonight, they were nice, have done well with our veg this year, haven’t had to buy much and still eating my tomatoes! my garden is somewhere I can forget about things and just get on x ( although I keep growing kale, my husband is not keen but it’s good for you!)

  • They sound delicious.I can’t manage my garden these days. It’s long and terraced.I love it but it’s too much since I had cancer. It’s not a jungle but some of the trees need pruning and the hedge and bay need cutting back.I used to have help but I can’t afford it now.I’m saving up to get a couple of jobs done before the house goes on the market.I hope I can have a garden when I move as I find gardening therapeutic.Love Jane x

  • Left our last few beans to 'bean up' as I discovered they make a nice bean stew. Windy here too, N Derbyshire.

  • Gardening is hard work and I think you have an awful lot to sort out so you don’t have the time or energy to do it, it’s my husband who has bladder cancer so I can use my garden as my “ safe place” You have so much with everything to sort out with the house and contents etc. Jean x

  • Mine were actually ok I thought they would be stringy but they were fine, pulled the plants out today, always sad but roll on next year! Jean x
