Hi, I'm currently 2 years or so clear but had visible blood in urine and what can only be described as an angry feeling bladder last week so went to the gp, dip test showed anomalies and gp shares my concern about recurrence . I'm due a Flexi in September I was wondering whether this would fall under the 2 week pathway, or does it not apply being already under the care of the urology dept (albeit only on surveillance) unfortunately bank holiday weekend has prevented me calling for updates from gp.

  • Hi . I can see from your history you are no stranger to the community. I may be wrong, but I believe that if you are still under the hospital, the urgent referral does not come in to play. Blood in urine can be one of the long term effects of treatment but still needs to be investigated. Strange how these things happen out of hours. If you have a CNS, then that should be your first point of call for advice. If you can get a GP appointment, they may be able to chase things up for you. As you have a cystoscopy due, you may like to contact the urology waiting list office. Explain the situation and they may get you in earlier. I hope it is just a false alarm. Best wishes.

    Best wishes to All,   rily.
