I have been advised by a fellow bladder cancer patient that this meeting with the Urologist on Tuesday 23rd June is not really going to inform me of any more than I already know now. That being that my tumour is grade 1 and was successfully removed. There was an earlier abandoned TURBT where a slither of that same tumour was sent for biopsy so I am assuming the grade was known at the time of TURBT number 2 from that biopsy. After TURBT 2 the Urologist said I would be getting a second CT Scan, which I am, on Monday 29th June, and that he expected there to be no change in the bladder from the time he removed the tumour. As this Scan is 6 days after the meeting with the Urologist on the 23rd June I am wondering what additional, if any, information I will be given. I see no advantage in it.
Hi Kenzie,
I think this can be usual to have additional scans. I was told bu the urologist that imaging is more frequent know to see the lay of the land. I had several before and after the biopsy results cane back, which then prompted some more. Overall, I think it builds a picture for the most suitable treatment options for you.
