Hi all,
I haven't been on here in a long time. Hope everyone is okay?- or as okay as can be. My situation went a bit more south unfortunately - my bladder cancer went into the muscle, but after another TURBT and PET CT scan, it had fortunately not gone anywhere outside of the bladder.
So next, it's chemoradiotherapy- I just wondered if anyone has had chemoradiotherapy? Any advice? Mine is starting mid Jan (4 sessions).
I also wondered about barrier creams such as StrataXRT to help with any skin radiation issues/ dermatitis? I have to yet speak with my cancer nurse about it.
Many thanks xx
Hi Julia194 and good to hear from you again although sorry to hear how things have advanced. I went through chemoradiation for MIBC. 6 weeks of chemo (Gem/Cis). Long day one week followed by half day the next. Then a break with a few scans along the way. Then on to daily radiotherapy sessions for 6 weeks combined with further chemo. The latest protocol is now 4 weeks. I tolerated it all quite well. Now over ten years down the line. Happy to answer ay questions if I can. Bes wishes.
