Hi everybody my name is Eric and I have been diagnosed with a low grade bladder cancer today. I have been fast tracked for it’s removal and diagnosis.
I have T3A prostate cancer that has been treated with radiotherapy and hormone therapy and now am starting a new journey of treatment for this little bugger.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Eric,
Welcome to this friendly forum, but sorry to hear about your diagnosis.
The procedure to remove the tumour etc is called a TURBT and is normally performed under general anesthetic.
The operation isn't too bad and some people go home on the same day, but I stayed overnight for both of my TURBTs.
When you get get your diagnosis back, you will be given a treatment plan, which can vary for each person.
Lot's of experience on this forum, so please fire away with any questions.
I was diagnosed almost three years ago, with high grade cancer, but after my operations and treatment have had clear biopsies since.
Wishing you all the best.
Trevor
Yeah fully agree in the beginning everything is a blur and you really do feel like being in limbo..
The waiting is horrible for sure, but sounds like they are moving quickly for you.
Please keep us posted with how things are going.
Lot's of lovely people on these forums and they certainly helped guide me through the process, especially in the beginning.
Trevor
