Has anyone experienced very vivid and intense nightmares while having BCG treatments?
I've only had my first dose this morning and I've had really nasty intense dreams while I napped in the afternoon and just now as I've gone to bed.
I've only been asleep 45 mins and I've woken up again shouting in my sleep and come round suddenly very confused and a bit freaked out, not sure if I'm still dreaming and my heart racing.
I've seen online that it can happen in very rare cases and was wondering if anyone else has experienced this?
Eeek!

Morning Angela.
I've just woken up. Had a very broken sleep with some super 'exciting' dreams. I managed to get some good sleep though.
I've had very mild side affects so far.
I came out of the hospital feeling a little dizzy when I walked. I was very tired as I didn't sleep much the night before my treatment either, I think I was winding myself up a little.
Yesterday as the day went on I felt slightly achy and had a really mild headache, I experienced a few mild, random hot and cold sweats too but not sure if that was just my hormones
Nothing too major to mention, just really tired as the day went on.
I have to admit, I was a bit scared to go back to sleep for a bit so I watched something light and random on u tube to change my mind set and one of my cats came and gave me a cuddle before drifting off again.

Hi kitty
Well done on getting your first. I've never experienced bcg so iam not really qualified, but if I could just say this. After I had my first session of chemo I came home with a list of all the possible side effects that can happen. That night I couldn't sleep and I believe myself the reason was that I was waiting on all the side effects to kick in but they never showed up. Off course I did have some side effects, but it was in my head that it was all going to happen. The second night I slept better and I hope you do to
Best wishes

Morning kitty
That's good to hear. Beginning treatment does bring with it a certain amount of anxiety but it settles down after a while. If possible try to maintain a night time routine I find that helps. But it's good you slept better and I hope it continues
Best wishes

Ah don't worry about the naps they come as part of the treatment package, I was the same, couldn't wait for my afternoon nap. The main thing is that you are now moving forward with a treatment plan. You will accustomise yourself to this and learn what you can do and what's going to take a bit it longer. Don't over do it kitty.
Best wishes

So it's day 4 now of my first week of treatment and still having crazy dreams but not as bad and not nightmares just a bit intensely vivid, quite confusing when you first wake up.
But I'm sleeping straight through and heavily all night!
I'm still tired from the treatment I think but just taking it easy and chilling with my kitties on the sofa.
Bless one of them hasn't left my side all weekend! She's really kept me going as my daughter's are away camping without me this time and she's been great company.
Hope everyone is doing well!
I think everyone should have a furry little friend if they're going through what we all are!

I love your cat. They are brilliant nurses. One of ours used to escort my disabled mum to the bathroom, wait outside and walk back with her.If there were any problems both cats would alert me and when Wilbur died Daisy took over his duties.I miss them both.I’m glad you have some furry companions.Love Jane xx
