Dear Garviv,

I can feel how upset and frustrated you are at this situation. The poor woman must be finding this hard to bear, and her husband too. Like everyone else, I'm sending you all virtual hugs. And something I have learnt that isn't always easy to deal with - none of us can make someone else do what they don't want to do. Even if it's exactly what they need to do. 

Half the time I can't make myself resist a bar of chocolate, even though I know it won't do me any good. There are things I've  wanted my husband to do or not do that would have helped him (and the rest of us too). I used to get really angry about it. But that doesn't help either. I have had to teach myself to accept things as they are and hope for gradual improvement.

Maybe your sister in law and her husband will change their minds and do as you wish once the test results come in. I hope they will if that is the right thing for her. Meanwhile I hope you can all cope with  this hellish situation and that she gets a bed and some proper nursing very soon.

Good morning Latestart, many thanks for your kind thoughts. I think when you have Cancer and the ongoing procedures and check ups you become more aware of how precious family and friends are. Mrs Garviv and I will do everything in our power to help my sister in law. Garviv

Thank you Jane, Perhaps my BIL will wake up and realise he needs to do more. SIL is still in A&E corridor on a trolley waiting for a bed. Further tests and possible brain scan later. Perhaps we will have some positive news then. Garviv

Hello Jane, just returned from the PNE match.Yes we won 3-1! My BIL is a bit of a dinosaur and doesn’t have a mobile phone so we have had no news. Mrs Garviv rang her Sister and apparently she has been admitted to an Acute Assesment Ward. She thinks she is in intensive care. Which she isen’t.we are going to our daughters / sil at 4.00pm for Christmas meal with grandchildren and Barney the crazy springer spaniel. Any news I will let you know. Thanks again for asking.
