Nearly 3 weeks post op . Although I’m getting fitter and progressing well , my face is looking very pale and despite outside walks shows no sign of improvement. Any advise ?

  • Hi Quarry,It might take time to start looking a better colour.I was an interesting shade of whitish grey for some weeks.I lost a lot of weight in the face as well as the body.I wouldn’t worry as long as you are progressing well your colour should return.I looked like I had been dug up so was very pleased when the weight went back on.Love Jane xx

  • Hi Jane , I know what you mean about being dug up ( I was perfect for answering the door on Halloween Jack o lantern) thanks for the good advise xx

  • I preferred the white/grey complexion to the green one in hospital Blush

It sounds like you are doing well and it’s early days in your recovery.Take care xx

  •    Quarty, it’s very early days. Take plenty of rest and small regular nutritious food. You might consider daily vitamin C and a good multi vitamin to give you a boost.

Major surgery really takes it out of you. Leo

  • I would definitely agree about the vitamins.

For best results pick sustained release Vitamin C, and a multivit/ mineral that does NOT have Zinc Oxide as it's Zinc ingredient.

[Should be Zinc citrate/gluconate/picolinate/amino acid chelate, to be capable of being absorbed by your gut].

Always check with a pharmacist you trust.

If you can afford it organic food home delivery might be ideal, saving you shopping trips or bothering others. I am very pleased with the company we have used for years. Considering the delivery is included I think it's very fair value.
